Pros
Affordable – Attractive price for a shotgun mic.
Reasonable sound quality – does what it is supposed to do.
Easy to operate.
Cons
Noticeable distortion – There is a slight disturbing noise in the background, which can be heard in the videos I shot using this microphone.
Added value compared to my camcorder’s built-in microphone – Until now, I am not sure if the sound quality is better compared to the audio quality of the built-in microphone in my camera (you can listen to the audio test in the video itself).
Light indicator – It is very annoying that the light indicator turns off immediately after turning this microphone on. Although it is supposed to save battery life, I am not sure if the microphone gets into sleep mode if I’ll forget to turn it off.

How does this microphone operate outdoors?
I still did not have the chance to shoot with this microphone outdoors. I will update this information in the description of this video the moment I get to do that.
Do you still use this mic?
After using this microphone in my videos for about a month or two, I decided to stop using it, since I don’t think it helped me to improve the audio quality in my videos.
I will have to test more shotgun microphones to realize if this is the type of microphone I need to use in my videos, but this specific microphone has this slight background noise which I just couldn’t ignore.
For the average user though, this mic can be a good solution.
Which type of battery is used in this microphone?
This microphone is operated using a 3V CR2 battery, whichyou can purchase in a rechargeable modification with a designated charger(there are different types that varies in their capacity, but they all should fit).
