Pros
Design: The design is almost identical to the original NES Classic Edition game console by Nintendo. From the outside, you can hardly tell them apart.
Affordable Price: The original NES Classic Edition cost approximately $60. When it was first launched, it was quickly discontinued, and its prices soared to around $250-$300. Later on, Nintendo decided to sell more units, but it was still more expensive than the replica.
500 Built-In Games: The console comes with 500 built-in games, including most of the titles available on the original NES Classic Edition. The variety of games is amazing, and you will find many classics from that era. While there are similar game consoles with 600-in-1 built-in games, most of the additional games are usually of poor quality.
Cable Length: The wires supplied with this game console are relatively long compared to some other 8-bit replica game consoles that I reviewed in the past.
Cons
No HD Resolution Support: Unlike the original Nintendo NES Classic Edition, this console doesn’t support HD resolution. However, I did come across a similar replica version that offers an HD connection and looks much better compared to the RCA connection.
Mario Bros. 3 Not Included: This game is available with the original Nintendo NES. I did find some replica game consoles that include this game, so if you care about a specific title, I recommend checking the full game list in advance.
Controller Button Count: The controllers have only 2 action buttons instead of 4, which affects the gameplay experience with many games. You can find sellers that provide this console with 4-button controllers, and I recommend getting those.
Controller Quality: The controllers are not as accurate as I initially thought. They are not exactly like the original NES controllers and, in my opinion, are inferior compared to controllers of other replica game consoles I reviewed in the past. However, you can replace them with other controllers, so this isn’t a deal-breaker.
No Gun-Controller Support: There is no gun-controller support, nor are there relevant gun-controller games available on this console (such as “Duck Hunt”).
Game Quality: Some of the games are of poor quality.
