The info in this post is relevant for the shopping mania that mostly occurs during the holiday season, around the months of November-December, and is highlighted by several promotional festivals:
- Singles day (11.11)
- Black Friday
- Cyber Monday
- Christmas sales
In addition, during the year there are other “shopping holidays” & “shopping festivals” that are promoted heavily, such as:
- Amazon Prime Day
- Aliexpress Anniversary Sale
Though you might think this is “just another article by someone who wants to give the same tips”, I think you should give me a chance, because I am talking here from my personal experience, as someone who spends more time & money on e-commerce websites (especially Amazon and Aliexpress), than the average person.
So here are 4 tips that I believe will be very useful when doing online shopping during holiday shopping:
Tip #1:
Be prepared in advance by making a list of all the things you plan to purchase.
Tip #2:
Many sellers inform you in advance about some or all the products that they plan to sell in a discount on the sale day.
Tip #3:
Use the coupons!
- Check if there are available coupons on the website itself – Some coupons will appear on the item’s page or the seller’s store. Other coupons may appear on the homepage, special sections etc.
- Search for available codes & coupons online.
- Make sure the coupons are activated & valid – go to the shopping cart, and get a preview of the purchase before submitting the order and paying for it.
Tip #4:
You don’t miss anything if you don’t buy the specific item that you want on the sale day.
I believe if you will listen to what I have to say, you’ll be able to make a smarter and more efficient purchase, that isn’t based on an impulsive need to purchase.
