If you run a website and use Google Adsense, then you encountered a message asking you to Create a GDPR consent message by January 16, 2024 You need to use a Google-certified CMP to create a GDPR message and ask for consent from all EEA and UK users to collect, share and use personal data for ads on your site.
The message showing is this:
“You’re not currently asking for GDPR consent with a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP), which means your site/s will stop showing AdSense ads and receiving AdSense revenue for EEA and UK traffic, in accordance with Google’s EU user consent policy”
There are three possible options to solve that:
-
- 1. Create a GDPR message, using a Google-certified CMP.
-
- 2. Create a GDPR message, using Google’s CMP in AdSense.
-
- 3. Not to create a GDPR message, which will cause AdSense ads to stop showing in the EEA and the UK on your site starting January 16th, 2024.
In this step-by-step tutorial, I will guide you on how to do that using the second option.
