Pros
Good build quality – I’ve been using many of these since I made the video in this review, and it happened only once that it broke due to deterioration of the materials.
Suitable for various uses – the specific softbox I show in my video is designated for photography, but you can use it for video production as well.
Over time I realized some softboxes are more suitable for video productions, and I mostly use them these days.
Covers a relatively big surface.
Cons
Price – This type of softbox which looks like an umbrella and is mostly used for photography, is more expensive than the similar softbox that doesn’t have the pole in the middle and opens up like an umbrella.
The second type I just described is more suitable for video productions, especially with these 4-in-1 light bulb socket lighting units.
