Multi-functional portable voice amplifier with a LED display that is suitable for teachers, instructors, tour guides, etc.

The G300 offers mode selection as follows:

Speak mode (SP):

Use the connected wired headset to speak.

Bluetooth mode (Blue):

Pair the G300 with a device that supports Bluetooth, and stream audio to the G300 (like a standard Bluetooth speaker). You can control the playback from the G300 control buttons.

Radio mode:

FM radio with channel memory of up to 27 channels. I had to scan the channels to navigate between them (to enable channel scanning press the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds, and to navigate between the channels use the Next/Previous buttons).

TF mode (TF):

This mode is available when inserting a TF (Micro-SD) memory card into the device.

Make sure to insert the memory card properly, by hearing a click sound.

If there’s music on the memory card, the G300 will start playing audio immediately. If there are no audio files, the device will switch to a different mode.

Controlling the audio playback is done using the control buttons at the top.

USB mode:

This mode is available when connecting a USB flash drive to the device. If there’s music on the memory card, the G300 will start playing audio immediately.

Controlling the audio playback is done using the control buttons at the top.

Record mode (REC):

You can record your audio onto the TF memory card or the USB flash drive and use it later. To start/stop recording, press the Play/Pause button.

Please note that if both the TF memory card & USB flash drive are used, the audio will be saved into the TF memory card.

Excluding the “Speak Mode” & “Record Mode”, each of the other modes allows you to talk while playing audio.

When switching between the different modes, you’ll hear a lady’s voice prompting the action and declaring the chosen mode. Personally, it doesn’t bother me that much, and I guess some people will find it useful while others won’t.

At the top of the G300 are located the control buttons & switches as follows:

  • Power/volume switch
  • Reverb switch
  • Mode selection button (M) – switches between the available modes that were mentioned above.
  • Next track button
  • Previous track button
  • Play/Pause button

Inside the box

Voice amplifier.

Wired microphone headset – It has a simple arc that will fit children for sure, most adults except people with an enormous head. The adjustable arm seems steady once you set it, and the microphone is covered with a wind-protecting sponge. The microphone connects using a 3.5mm plug.

AC-DC charger – The cable is approx. 1.2 meter, no USB connection, as can be plugged only straight into an electric socket.

Adjustable strap – The strap is about 1 meter long (from side to side, not folded).

Quick start guide – It is in English, includes seven pages, easy to read, though it has a few funny spelling mistakes.

Pros

Respectable battery life – The manufacturer claims that the G300 can last up to 15 hours of playtime (see specifications table), which means it should last for an intensive working day.

Built-in radio works well – The radio’s signal is strong, so when playing audio in radio mode, and the radio stations are set, the G300 plays clean sound with no disturbances.

Bluetooth connection – Its the first portable voice amplifier I get to try that offers a Bluetooth connection. Although the Bluetooth connection has flaws, this feature makes the G300 more functional to the person who uses it.

Pairing the G300 with other devices is very easy, and when doing so, it should appear on the Bluetooth search mode as “G300”.

Reverb effect – The G300 offers a reverb effect the works pretty well. At the top of the device is a control switch to adjust the level of this effect.

Recording mode – As I explained in the modes section, the G300 allows you to record yourself talking into the device (using the TF memory card or USB flash drive).

This can be useful to some people, and the audio quality is quite good.

Volume level – The G300 reaches an impressive volume level.

At first, I thought there isn’t a big difference between the G300 and other portable voice amplifiers with lower output that I tested before. But the more I used it; I realized that the G300 is on a league of its own.

Digital display – At the top of the G300 is a red & orange display that shows the chosen mode, battery level, etc.

Decent design & build-quality – The G300 is mostly made from plastic, and offers a square design that is common among this type of devices.

I find the G300 functional and easy to operate as the buttons & switches feel and respond well. Overall the build quality is good, except if I shake it hard, and then I can notice a slight movement of the speaker from the inside.

Thanks to its measurements, I can hold it in one hand, attach it using the belt clip or carry it using the strap.

Cons

Weight – It isn’t that heavy, but it does feel heavier compared to previous portable voice amplifiers I reviewed in the past.

The base is non-exist – You can listen to music using this amplifier, but don’t count on the weak base.

That’s the main reason to use this portable speaker, is to amplify your voice and not to replace a regular portable audio speaker to play music.

Disturbance in the sound in Bluetooth mode – When I set the G300 in Bluetooth mode, it sounds like a disturbing signal that doesn’t go away.

When playing audio in Bluetooth mode, the disturbance isn’t that noticeable, but I don’t expect this kind of issue when it comes to Bluetooth connection.

The attachment points are prone to damage – The build quality seems decent, and only time will tell if I’m correct or not, but the strap holes & the belt clip have the potential to break if you’re going to put too much pressure on them.
