Pros:
The location if you want to be away from the “Strip” – The Trump hotel is located above the “Strip”(north to it), in a relatively quiet area. In my opinion, some of the best attractions in Las-Vegas are next to the hotel. For example, the “Fashion Show” mall is right across the street. As for other attractions – I will let you find out about that on your own…
The design of the hotel –I found the building mesmerizing and classy both from the inside and the outside. If it wasn’t Las Vegas, a golden building would probably seem to me exaggerated & ridiculous. But compared to the other hotels in this city – the Trump’s design is decent.
everywhere you go across the hotel, whether it’s the lobby or the room – proves someone put a lot of thought and effort to make your stay at the Trump a memorable experience that is reserved to the rich and famous.
The condo I stayed in was top notch – I can live in this room, because I had everything that I needed.
Among the things I liked about it:
- The room was spacious enough for 3 people.
- The bed, sofa and pillows were comfortable.
- There was a lot of storage space.
- Very convenient kitchen that was suitable for cooking food if needed (no cutlery though).
- The electric devices were from well known brands (for example the radio-alarm-clock by JBL).
- Bath was super spacious and included a hot tub.
The floor was very quiet, almost no noticeable noise from the lobby, neighboring rooms and the outside (except a train that is located relatively close to the hotel, but most people won’t notice that).
The service I received –The staff was kind and professional, like I would expect from a 5-star hotel staff. Whenever I had an issue that required a solution – I gave them a call and it was sorted in no-time.
For example, when I checked into my room, I noticed some used coffee capsules. I don’t think it should have happened in the first place, but it did, and once I gave a call to the rooms service, it took about 5 minutes until a staff member stopped by my room with a bag full of new capsules.
This generosity was apparent through the whole stay, with complimentary water, soaps, towels etc.
The view from the room –The hotel’s location and the building’s height give the Trump an advantage over other hotels in the area. In my video you can see the view I had from my room towards the strip. This sight is impressive both during the day and night.
Please note I’m not sure how’s the view from rooms that face the other direction.
The swimming pool – When you find yourself next to such a swimming pool, it’s hard to resist it, even if it’s very hot outside.
You can check in my video that this pool looks brilliant, but more importantly- if you’re looking for a quiet swimming pool, then this is the one for you, because compared to other hotels that I went to visit in, you cannot enter the pool’s floor unless you’re a visitor of the hotel.
It was a bit windy outside, because this is an outdoor pool on a relatively high floor, so make sure to put your stuff in a safe place.
Free shuttles to the Strip – Visitors of the Trump hotel can take free shuttles during most of the day. The shuttle goes every 20 minutes to one of 2 stops – to the “Wynn”hotel and to “Caesars Palace” Casino hotel.
The shuttles had air conditioning and were comfortable, clean & modern.
This was the main way I traveled around town, and it proved to be very helpful, because the locations are relatively popular, the ride didn’t take too much time and I didn’t have to wait too much time for the shuttle to arrive.
The drivers were friendly. You should know that the drivers expect tips, but they aren’t pushy about it.

Cons:
The location if you want to be near “The strip” – If you plan to stay in the Strip during most of your visit, you might find the location a bit distant. The distance is not that big, but it is very hot outside during the day, and walking it by foot isn’t something I would recommend.
There’s no casino or show in the hotel itself – It didn’t bother me, because there are many of these attractions in the neighboring hotels. Also, I think this helps keeping weirdos from the hotel.
But after seeing so many people act like zombies in the casinos, I realized people spend a lot of time gambling. And if I was one of these people, then I would prefer to be close to my room.
I’m not sure if not offering a casino or a show is a prestigious thing or not, but it makes the hotel very “boring” in a certain way.
Some amenities are expensive – Because this is a 5-star hotel, then I totally understand that some services will cost money, and in some cases won’t be cheap. But I know that if the prices at the restaurant or the cabins next to the swimming pool would have been less expensive – then I wouldn’t think twice paying for them.
FAQ :
Q: What about WiFi?
A: The hotel offers free WiFi to its visitors. It worked fast, but disconnected occasionally, which was a bit annoying. There was an option to pay for WiFi though, but I’m not sure if this means a better network/connection.
Q: Does the Trump hotel offers free parking?
A: Yes, visitors of the Trump hotel will enjoy free parking. In my current visit ito L
Q: Is this an expensive hotel?
A: If you compare it to a stay in other cities across the USA (LA, NY, San-Francisco) then the answer is NO because in Las-Vegas you can get a lot more for much less.
If you compare the Trump hotel to other hotels across Las-Vegas, I think it’s not the most expensive one (either it’s about the same or even less expensive compared to the most rated hotels across Booking.com, TripAdvisor etc.).
