The pros:

An affordable smartphone – This is a nice term to describe a low-budget smartphone, but in return, you get a smartphone that offers a good value for your money.

Its display looks good – This smartphone can display video quality up to a resolution of 720p HD+ (720*1498 pixels), and it looks fine.

This means it is a bit better than the OUKITEL C11 Pro‘s display, but I didn’t notice that much of a difference between the two.

Anyway, for a smartphone in this price range this is just fine.

Reasonable Camera – After I already reviewed several low-budget smartphones, I know that camera is one of the main things that separates them from the more expensive smartphones & smartphones by leading brands (i.e. Samsung, Apple, etc.).

And once I’ve set my expectations in the right place, the Ulefone S10 Pro proved to offer an acceptable video & photo quality.

Battery life – The Ulefone S10 Pro has a 3350mAh Li-Polymer battery, that should last for a whole day of reasonable use.

My definition of reasonable use per day is making several phone calls, surfing the internet for 30-60 minutes, watching YouTube videos up 30 minutes, running apps such as Google Maps (including the GPS turned on).

The fingerprint sensor works OK – I’m constantly testing the fingerprint, to make sure it works well. And so far, so good…

The protective case is decent – The case is a wannabe “Heavy Duty” hard case, that appears to provide additional protection from scratches and falls. Plus it has a nice pattern that looks dignified in black and adds to the overall appearance of the device.

The cons:

It seems a bit slow – When I swipe between screens and apps, I notice a slight delay. Currently, I’m still testing it, to realize if this is the actual smartphone’s performance, or I need to update the apps/firmware. I’m not sure if I need to update apps & firmware or this is the smartphone’s performance.

Other smartphones in this price range offers better audio quality & higher volume level – Usually when I test the sound and volume level, I play several tracks that I like listening to.

In this case, I played Survivor’s “Eye of the tiger” on the Ulefone S10 Pro & the OUKITEKL C12 Pro.

The OUKITEL C12 Pro sounds a bit better compared to the Ulefone S10 Pro, and it also reaches a higher volume level.

No NFC cheap – The Ulefone S10 Pro doesn’t support NFC technology.

Over time, I learn to appreciate the existence of devices that support NFC. Unfortunatelly, so far I didn’t encounter a low-budget smartphone that offers this feature.

  • NFC allow you to share contacts, websites, and images using your smartphone. You can even make purchases at locations that have NFC support. An NFC message appears automatically when your phone is within an inch of the target device.
