Pros
It is easy to set up the printer and connect it to the WiFi network.
It is easy to operate the 8720 thanks to the touchscreen control panel.
Variety of features – The 8720 offers p-l-e-n-t-y of features (I will expand on it as time goes by because I am still learning about it…).
Installed tutorials – I love the tutorial videos on the touchscreen control panel (if needed of course…).
The printer is considered relatively economical, thanks to the ink costs, which are supposed to be very low per page.
HP’s 3-year warranty is always a great thing to have.
Cons
Setting the printer on your Computer – HP gives a user manual that explains perfectly how to set up the printer, but the explanation on how to install the printer on a computer or which app is relevant for your smartphone/tablet is not so detailed.
I guess that this information can be found easily on the web if you read the user manual or insert the CD and follow its instructions, but I think if they put so much effort into making the user’s life easier, they could offer a specific page with the relevant information just for that (the same page as the one dedicated to the setup of the printer itself).
The absolute price of the cartridge.
No USB cable (for those who need it…).

Can it scan a 2-sided page automatically?
Yes, you can do that either from the device itself or from the software. This is very easy to execute, and all you need to do is define the page as “2-sided”.
How can I reduce/enlarge the size of the document when I scan/copy it?
There are several ways to resize a document:
- Using the software that is relevant for this device.
- From the device itself by doing the following:
- Touch Copy / Scan
- Choose Settings
- Scroll down to Resize option and use enlarge or reduce (in %)
- Touch return
- Touch Black or Color to copy.
Hope you will be able to proceed from here by yourself
How to set up the printer on a Wi-Fi Protected (WPS) Network?
I recommend you to watch a short & simple official video by HP that will guide you on how to go through this process.

According to HP’s official website: “Media sizes supported A4; A5; A6; B5 (JIS); Envelope (DL, C5, C6, Chou #3, Chou #4); Card (Hagaki, Ofuku Hagaki)”.
