The pros:
Made from solid aluminum – I mention that, because I’ve read some other super clamps aren’t made from metal, or the type of metal is not as durable as this one (I will be able to confirm it once I get to try other models by different manufacturers).
Solid grip – So far, I hung over it several types of equipment (mostly LED lights), and it held all of them firmly. The max. weight limit for this clamp is 15 kg, according to the manufacturer.
The clamp is padded from the inside – So when it surrounds the Manfrotto Autopole 2 that I’ve attached it to, it doesn’t scratch the Autopole.
Size – Since this is a large clamp, it should fit almost everything.
Each Super Clamp has it’s own wedge insert – The purpose of a wedge insert is to attach the Super Clamp to a flat surface such as a table. Thus, you can attach the Dual Super Clamp to more than just rounded tubes.
The cons:
The stud that I’ve purchased with the clamp and is connected to it, shows marks from the screw of the items I attached to it – I thought that since it’s a metal stud and not a cheap one, it will not show any scratches or marks. But so far, at least it didn’t bend inward, like a cheap aluminum stud.
There are cheaper super clamps sold out there – You can settle for the cheaper alternatives for some types of equipment.
